Spud

Spud has an awesome, spunky personality! He is shy and slow to warm up, but once he’s comfortable he’s playful and curious. He loves cookies, other dogs, playing in the play yard. Spud is leashed trained and good in the car.

Spud and his 4 siblings were born in a remote area outside under a storage container. Their mother, Sydney, did her best to care for them, living off of scraps in triple digit temperatures. After lots of patience and hard work, LLF was able to rescue this litter and care for them while they wait for their forever families.

Spud’s Ideal Home

• Another playful, well socialized dog in the household
• Low foot traffic household
• Children okay over 12 that can respect his space.
• Patient, understanding owners who will give him the time he needs to adjust. Spud has never lived in a house before and adopters should plan for up to a 6 month transition period in the home. This is to ensure that Spud is comfortable and ready for his forever home. Multiple meets and greets with whole family (including children) will be required.
• Cats probably okay after proper introduction.
• Secure yard with privacy fence attached to home required. Spud needs to feel comfortable and secure in his little bubble and a privacy fence helps with this.
• No apartments, Spud needs a serene home with a calm, quiet environment.
• Other animals in the home must be spayed/neutered and UTD on heartworm prevention.
