Salt

Salt has tons of personality. He loves playing with his siblings, cooling off in the puppy pool, and cookies. He’s a sweet, shy boy who has been waiting too long for his forever home. Once he warms up, he’s the cutest best friend you’ll ever have. Salt would do best in a home with an outgoing dog to show him the ropes.

Salt and his siblings were born in a remote area outside under a storage container. Their mother, Sydney, did her best to care for them, living off of scraps in triple digit temperatures. After lots of patience and hard work, LLF was able to rescue this litter and care for them while they wait for their forever families.

Salt’s Ideal Home

• Another playful, well socialized dog in the household
• Low foot traffic, calm, quiet household
• No kids – Salt prefers hanging with grownups.
• Patient, understanding owners who will give him the time he needs to adjust. Salt has never lived in a house before and adopters should plan for up to a 6 month adjustment period at home. This is to ensure that Salt is comfortable and ready for him forever home. Multiple meets and greets with whole family will be required.
• Cats probably okay after proper introduction.
• Secure yard with 6 foot privacy fence attached to home required. Salt needs to feel comfortable and secure in his little bubble and a privacy fence helps with this.
• No apartments, Salt needs a serene home with a calm, quiet environment.
• Salt is not yet leash trained. Training is available is free after adoption.
• Other animals in the home must be spayed/neutered and UTD on heartworm prevention.
